Marcy J. Ford is a Managing Partner at Trott Law, P.C., where she oversees the Firm’s Bankruptcy division and is a co-leader for firm strategic development and legal operations. Marcy is a past and present member of several esteemed organizations, including the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. Additionally, she has served as a board representative for the Consumer Bankruptcy Association of the Eastern District of Michigan. Marcy’s extensive professional experience is reflected in her notable 11-year tenure on the USFN Board, where she served in the role of President from 2012 to 2014.
In addition to her contributions to the field as a speaker and published author, Marcy’s dedication to her work has garnered notable recognition. She has been included in Crain’s Detroit Business “Women to Watch” list, selected as a “Top Lawyer” by DBusiness Magazine, and named one of HousingWire’s “Influential Women in Housing”.
Marcy received her Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts Degrees from Western Michigan University and worked for several years in higher education administration. She received her Juris Doctor with honors from Wayne State University Law School in 1993.
Jeffrey D. Weisserman

Jeffrey D. Weisserman is a Managing Partner and General Counsel at Trott Law, PC. With extensive experience representing mortgage lenders and industry stakeholders in litigation, Jeff joined Trott Law as leader of the Litigation Department in 2003, after his tenure as a partner at Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, P.C. in Detroit. Jeff is a co-leader for firm strategic development and legal operations.
Jeff graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 1984 and obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from Wayne State University in 1987. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the USFN and holds memberships in prestigious organizations such as the American Bar Association, the Michigan Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, and the Mortgage Bankers Association of Michigan.
Having actively participated in legislative affairs related to the mortgage industry, Jeff has testified before various legislative committees on real property legislation. He is a sought-after speaker on litigation and the mortgage banking industry and has authored several resources for the industry. In 2004, Jeff was recognized as the Outstanding Mortgage Lender of the Year by the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association.
Jeffrey Raff
Managing Partner
Jeffrey Raff serves as a Managing Partner of Trott Law, P.C., where he is responsible for driving and measuring the strategic development of the firm’s goals, in addition to managing all vendor relationships as well as overseeing day-to-day legal operations.
Jeff first joined Trott Law as a Litigation Attorney, where he would play an integral role in building and supporting the firm’s litigation practice before being promoted to Supervising Attorney. In 2008, he was named Partner and Co-Managing Attorney of the litigation team, before taking on his current role of a Managing Partner in 2012.
A recipient of DBusiness’ Top Lawyers award, Jeff is an active participant in organizations across the field, including the State Bar of Michigan, USFN—America’s Mortgage Banking Attorneys, Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association.
Before graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1996, Jeff attended Michigan State University where he studied Finance.
